The Undergraduate Deans Office provides support for all enrolled students. The undergraduate dean assigned to a student generally remains with that student for his/her entire undergraduate career, but all of the undergraduate deans are available for consultation and advice. Students may schedule individual appointments to consult about various academic, personal, and social issues. Students in academic difficulty are encouraged to meet with their undergraduate deans for assistance in returning to good academic standing. The undergraduate deans are holding Remote Drop-in "open hours" Monday through Friday from 1 to 4 PM while classes are in session. Students may join our Zoom Meeting Waiting Room and will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis to have their questions or issues addressed by a dean in a 15-minute zoom meeting. Students cannot see who else is in the waiting room, and only one student will be admitted at a time into the drop-in meeting. You can schedule a remote appointment by following the instructions at the Student Drop-in Hours site. If a student feels they will need more than 15 minutes or would like an appointment with a particular undergraduate dean, they should call (646-2243) or email (undergraduate.deans.office@dartmouth.edu) to schedule an appointment.

The Teaching Science Fellows (TSFs) are recent Dartmouth grads who partner with the faculty of introductory biology and chemistry classes to make them more accessible to all students, regardless of science background, as well as to help students succeed in STEM.
Beyond academic support, the TSFs help guide students on how to thrive at Dartmouth, including how to study, how to manage your time, and how to make the most of everything available here. They're familiar with the ins-and-outs of college life and the challenges involved, so it is important to reach out to them!
Classes TSFs work with: BIOLOGY 12, 13 & 14; CHEMISTRY 5, 6, 11, 51 & 52

SURFD provides a variety of programs and resources that foster academic exploration and intellectual growth. These include:
- Multi-year programs that support and foster the academic and personal growth of Dartmouth undergraduate students. Scholars are provided experiential learning funds to support research projects, academic exploration, and leadership and career opportunities.
- Programs that provide opportunities for students to engage in faculty-mentored research. These close collaborations provide a forum for faculty to teach and mentor undergraduates on a one-on-one basis outside the classroom. Students acquire first-hand experience in an academic field of research while developing skills such as critical thinking, information processing, and effective communication.
- Promote fellowship opportunities and support Dartmouth students and alumni through the application process.
