There are numerous opportunities across the country that offer opportunities to conduct research or be involved in service, that also provide training and mentorship. While it is important to engage in scholarship or gain exposure to clinical and non-clinical settings, health profession schools look for evidence that an applicant is not just "checking off" a requirement. Instead, they want to see that the applicant has sincere interest and are truly engaged in there experiences.
