Tyler Amell-Angst ‘26
Biography
What’s up! My name is Tyler Amell-Angst ‘26, and I am from Chevy Chase (like the actor), Maryland right outside of D.C. I am majoring in Neuroscience and Hispanic Studies, and floating the idea of a Chemistry minor. Outside of classes, I am the Community Training Officer of Dartmouth EMS, I work in the Gaur Lab in the Neurology Department at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC), and I am an Eichler Fellow with the Dartmouth Healthcare Foundations program. When I can get off campus, I work as an EMT at Upper Valley Ambulance and I volunteer as a clinic aide in the Same-Day Surgery Clinic at the Veterans Affairs Hospital. I have spent some time during off-terms working on the dopaminergic reward pathway at the National Institute on Drug Abuse with the NIH, and researching the efficacy of new spinal surgery techniques at the National Spine Health Foundation. I studied abroad in Buenos Argentina on a Spanish LSA+ where I did nothing pre-med related whatsoever. To relax, I enjoy dominating the pickleball courts, trying new breakfast spots in the Upper Valley, and watching Green Bay Packers games. I am super excited to be a pre-health mentor this year and cannot wait to meet you!
