Biography
Hi! My name is Sudi, and I am a ‘26 from Lexington, Massachusetts, studying human biology and computer science. I'm a volunteer in the emergency department at both the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) and Lahey Medical Center, and this has been one of the most rewarding experiences I've had in college, as I am able to help patients and their families directly. I’m also conducting research in the Halter Lab at Thayer, where I’m involved in a project studying the efficacy of a cutting-edge navigation tool designed to enhance surgical precision. This past summer, I had the opportunity to present my work at an international conference! Prior to this, I spent 1.5 years in the Wang Lab at Geisel, working on data analysis and visualization of single-cell RNA datasets; I even dove into research full-time during my freshman summer. I’ve also shadowed a wide range of departments, such as orthopedics, geriatrics, and plastic reconstructive surgery, at the DHMC through the Nathan Smith Society, which has helped me gain insight into the day-to-day lives of physicians.
Outside of academics, I’m passionate about sailing and am thrilled to serve as captain this year (last year, I was the Vice Commodore) of the varsity sailing team after walking on my freshman year. When I’m not on the water, I love lifting with my gym buddies, enjoying movie nights with friends, 3D printing random little things, taking 0.5s, and soaking up the sun! I am looking forward to another adventurous year! Feel free to reach out — can’t wait to meet you all!
