Hi! My name is Samantha, and I'm a '28 at Dartmouth! I grew up in Washington, DC, with my twin brother (at the University of Chicago now) and our adorable mini-sheepadoodle named Thor (she's small and mighty!). 

I'm double majoring in Biology and Studio Art, and I love the balance of STEM and art. I've been working in Dr. He's lab in the biology department since my freshman winter, and we study Drosophila embryogenesis using confocal microscopy. I love my baby fruit flies! My mentors introduced me to scientific research, and I've had an incredible experience learning to conduct experiments and present my findings. I'm also a Peer Assisted Learning Leader for Chem 5, where I facilitate weekly problem-solving sessions and help students with any questions they may have. Outside of academics, I volunteer with Reflections, a subclub of Dartmouth Generations, where we talk about art with older adults in an independent living community. Our conversations are grounding and inspiring, and I really value getting to know and connect with the residents. You can also often find me at Street Soul rehearsal—I'm the treasurer for this non-audition dance group and would love to see you there! I'm a big fan of woccoms and Dartmouth's ski lesson program (I learned to ski from scratch here!), and I draw campus-inspired cartoons for the D. I'm very excited to meet you!
