Patrick Herrin ‘25
Biography
Hi everyone! My name is Patrick Herrin, and I'm a '25 from Essex Junction, Vermont. I'm fortunate to be staying close to campus while taking a gap year and applying to medical school, and I'm really looking forward to sharing insights from my time as a pre-med at Dartmouth with you! During my gap year, I'm living across the river in Wilder and working as a clinical research coordinator at the DHMC Ophthalmology Clinic. I graduated this past spring with a major in Biochemistry with a minor in Neuroscience. Before graduating, I was a mentor with the Outdoor Leadership Experience program, a TA for the Organic Chemistry labs, and a first-year trips leader. I also did research in the chemistry department and competed with the Dartmouth Club Soccer and Club Nordic Ski teams. One highlight of my Dartmouth experience was studying abroad in Buenos Aires, and I would love to talk about studying abroad as a pre-med! Back home in Vermont, I volunteer at a local food shelf and work as a medical assistant in a family medicine clinic. Some of my favorite things to do include hiking in the White Mountains, playing piano, and eating ice cream. I'm so excited for this year and meeting you!
