Biography

Hi Everyone, My name is Nazarelie Gonzalez, and I am a ‘26 and FGLI. I am from Springfield, Massachusetts, and have lived there all my life! I am Puerto Rican and would also consider Puerto Rico my home as well! At Dartmouth, I am a Biology major concentrating in Biochemistry, and I am also a Sociology major Modified with Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS). On campus, I have been involved in many different groups and clubs. I was a part of the America Reads program, I am a pathways intern and scholar, as well as the secretary of the Minority Association of Pre-Health Students(MAPS), a member of the Nathan Smith Society and Dartmouth's Undergraduate Biology Society. Through the Nathan Smith Society and interning at Baystate Medical Center, I have had the opportunity to shadow in the ER, NICU, Pediatric ER, and a Gynecologic Oncologist clinic. During my Freshman summer, I interned at Baystate Medical Center again, where I did research analysis involving drug misuse and treatments in my city. Some of my favorite things to do include going for runs, reading, going to the movie theater, spending time with my friends and family, as well as cooking whenever I get the chance! I am so excited for this year and cannot wait to meet you all!
