Hi! My name is Nancy, and I am a '28 majoring in Sociology with a concentration in Global/Public Health and minoring in Physics. I'm from Manchester, New Hampshire, where I grew up as part of the South Sudanese diaspora and, fun fact, the oldest of seven kids! Watching my grandparents and parents navigate healthcare after immigrating has deeply shaped how I think about equity, access, and who gets to be healthy and why. 

On campus, you can find me playing field hockey, facilitating as an SVPP Facilitator, and lying on the green with friends (weather permitting); outside of Dartmouth, I serve as a summer teacher and academic advisor with the Breakthrough Collective, a program I attended myself from middle school through high school, where I get to invest in students the way others once invested in me. My research is in health policy and data science at the Health Economics and Policy Lab (HEPL) at The Dartmouth Institute in DHMC through the E.E. Just Undergraduate Fellowship, where I analyze Medicare claims data to understand post-pandemic healthcare patterns across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont with a focus on rural communities, race and ethnicity, disability, and Medicaid enrollment. Prior to TDI, I worked as a WISP/ERAS and URAD intern at the Quantum Spin Lab in the Physics department, and as a reproductive health policy intern with the Reproductive Freedom Fund of New Hampshire, eventually landing here after a very late night of cold-emailing professors off old fellowship profiles. Long-term, I am on the pre-med track with the goal of becoming a physician who bridges clinical medicine and health equity centered on serving underserved communities.
