Mayada Giha ‘27
Biography
Hello!! My name is Mayada Giha, and I am a '26 from Boston! I am majoring in Biology with a concentration in Human Biology. On campus, I serve on the executive board for the National Society of Black Women in Medicine as the Director of Membership, I am a Pathways to Medicine scholar and intern, and a trained peer supporter for the Student Wellness Center. I have been able to shadow health professionals in Hematology, Emergency Medicine, and Dermatology through the Nathan Smith Society. Through Dartmouth, I have also had the opportunity to study abroad in Morocco! During my off terms, I have worked as a pharmacy technician, participated in the SHPEP program at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center, and interned at Boston Healthcare for the Homeless through the Dartmouth Center for Social Impact community health internship. For fun while on campus, I love crocheting/painting, watching movies, and going for scenic walks. Whenever I am in the city, I love dressing up with my friends and exploring the city to try out new cafes/restaurants! I am so excited to meet you all—it's going to be a great year!
