Biography

Hey! My name is Helah Snelling, and I'm a '25 from Hanover, NH. I am double majoring in biology and studio art, with a focus on cell biology and drawing/printmaking. On campus, I am a student co-director for the Dartmouth Cancer Scholars, and do research in the Ahmed lab at Geisel, studying a fruit fly signaling pathway that's dysregulated in many human cancers. The summer after my freshman year, I obtained an LNA license and worked for about a year per diem as a nursing assistant in the hematology/oncology inpatient unit at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. During my most recent off-term, I was an intern for the St. Paul's Advanced Studies Program, teaching molecular biology to NH public high school students. In my free time, I enjoy making art (everything from drawing to crocheting), reading, playing video games, and spending time in the beautiful outdoor spaces around Hanover.
