Biography

Hey! My name is David Qiu, and I am a '26. I grew up in Albany before moving to Shanghai and finishing high school in Singapore. Here, I am a Biology major concentrating in Human Biology, and I am minoring in Psychology! Aside from taking the pre-health courses one at a time, I also spend my time researching in the Halpern Lab in Geisel’s Department of Molecular and Systems Biology and shadowing at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) a couple of times a term through the Nathan Smith Society. In fact, I am taking this Fall off to pursue a full-time independent research project with the Undergraduate Advising and Research (UGAR) leave-term stipend. I am also a CPR First Aid instructor with Dartmouth EMS and take occasional shifts with the organization as an EMT. On campus, I love playing volleyball with my club team, and singing with the Dodecaphonics A cappella group, and am also involved in Greek life. This summer, I have also loved playing tennis, golf, and pickleball. I can't wait to meet you and answer absolutely any questions you may have, as I know just how lost I was at first.
