Hey everyone! My name is Danai Makoni (’25) and I’m from Palm Beach, Florida. I’m so excited to be your pre-health student mentor! I know the pre-health journey can be a bit overwhelming, but I'm here to help and hopefully ease some of your stress in the process.

A bit about me: I'm a Neuroscience major with an education minor on the pre-med track. I’ve learned so much at Dartmouth and have loved to learn about the effects early development can have on life outcomes and behavior. On campus, I stay pretty busy as a lab assistant in an immunology lab at DHMC, and I’m also a Mental Health Union Ambassador. I recently completed the Pathways to Medicine program with Sarah, and I can’t recommend this life-changing program enough to anyone interested. Outside of Dartmouth, I volunteer with the Mackeke Sustainability Project and love to listen to/play music or create new mixes on my turntable. So excited to get to know you!!!
