Cynthia Flores Hernandez ‘26

Biography

Hey everyone! My name is Cynthia Flores Hernandez, and I am a ‘26 from Los Angeles, CA. I am a Biology and Computer Science double major with a concentration in Ecology on the pre-dental track. This past winter, I studied abroad in Costa Rica and the Cayman Islands on the Bio FSP, where I was able to conduct field research (terrestrial and aquatic) for eight different original research projects. I have also done translational work for the Biology FSP program and edited the research books published, containing student research done on the study abroad program. On campus, I work in the Ayres Lab focusing on bird bioacoustics research. I have also been a TA for CS50 for two terms and am hoping to continue doing so this fall! Over the summer, I have been shadowing a general dentist and assisting a traveling periodontist during his dental surgeries, where I have been fortunate enough to get a lot of hands-on experience and learn from a variety of different dentists/practice owners from all the offices I have visited. I also just finished applying to dental school and am open to talking about the application process as well as preparing for the DAT. I also serve as co-president of the Dartmouth Pre-Dental Club and help in volunteer initiatives, as well as bringing resources to other pre-dental students at Dartmouth. In my free time, I love catching up with my friends, watching baking shows, getting cute little drinks, and learning new design techniques for my nails. You can also catch me outdoors hiking, birding, and basking in the sun. If you have any questions (about literally anything) or are just interested in chatting, feel free to reach out at any time! I look forward to meeting all of you. 😊
